CCW Conceal and Carry classes.
Our students are going to have the opportunity to get their CCW (concealed carry) permits through our school. With enough interest, this is designed to be an ongoing class that will include gun retention, moving scenarios, disarms, etc. Not just a one day course to get a CCW. The CCW portion will be split up into three 3 hour sessions. The first one will be Saturday January 4th. The course will be taught by Firearms Instructor Chris Tauai. The only cost to active BSJJ students will be the cost associated with the firing range that we go to for the shooting portion.Brief Bio for Chris Tauai:
*5 years as a Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service
*6 1/2 years as a KCMO Police Officer
*Current Certified Firearms Instructor for a Federal L. E. Agency
*Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice
The first session on January 4th will include:
-Handgun safety in classroom, at home, on the firing range, and while carrying firearm.
-Handguns 101
-Revolvers
-Semi-Auto Pistols
-Nomenclature
-Basic Parts
-Cycle of Operation
-Ammunition
-Physics of Gunfire
-Care and cleaning of concealable firearms
